Laburnum Drive, 1400 block, between 5:50 and 6 p.m. April 28. Someone knocked down a brick fence and used the bricks to break patio doors and windows. Damage was $1,000.
COLUMBIA POLICE
Blossom Street, 2500 block, between midnight April 24 and 11:01 p.m. April 25. Someone broke a vehicle window, causing $500 in damage.
Butler Street, 1100 block, between midnight April 24 and 5:30 p.m. April 25. Someone stole a $225 lawnmower and a $140 weed trimmer from the carport of a home.
Devine Street, 2000 block, between midnight April 25 and 4:10 a.m. April 26. Someone uprooted and stole a tree planted by the city and valued at $500.
Devine Street, 2200 block, between midnight April 25 and 2:45 a.m. April 26. Someone stole a 1992 Buick valued at $3,500.
Gill Street, 3800 block, between midnight April 24 and 5:25 p.m. April 25. Someone broke into a home and stole a $300 video gaming unit, a $750 projection TV and three guitars valued at $800.

Rose Drive, 0-100 block, 1:56 p.m. April 26. A fire caused by a lightning strike resulted in $3,000 damage to a home.
