RCC Meetings for 2008
RCC meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30pm, in the large conference room at Owens Field Airport.

We are also experiencing a rash of auto break-ins in the Rosewood area. Please call the police if they see anyone who looks suspicious. Remember to remove all valuables (iPods, GPS, Cell Phone, Wallets) from your car.

Stop Signs
Neighbors are interested in having Stop Signs put in place at thefollowing intersections. Kennedy and Etiwan, Montgomery and S. Kilbourne. Please send your comments of support or non-support to Rachel.

The Outreach and Education Committee requests your presence and
participation in a meeting next Wednesday, July 2 from 12:30PM till
2PM at 2711 Middleburg Drive downstairs in one of the conference rooms
behind the Mousetrap Restaurant in the same building. RSVP to

determine which conference room we will need. I also plan to have a
light lunch for you, and I do not want to run short on food.

Our meeting will begin with a brief overview of the progress the GCWA
has had so far in securing funding and getting technical work done.
Then we will examine the roles of our committee and begin to plan what
we need to do to initiate and execute effective outreach and education
campaigns.

Thank you for your support during these past twenty years of my service on city council. I have been honored to represent you.

A lot has happened in Rosewood during this time. Rosewood Park, Owens Field, Vallencia and Tyler Parks have been greatly improved. Owens Field Airport has a wonderful new terminal. The school district with input from the city and the neighborhood added a new track to your recreational opportunities. New housing is bringing new life into your area. Rosewood Drive has a new life in large measure through your support of the businesses there. When I was elected, we had strip clubs and bars…look at it now!!

I am particularly pleased that last Wednesday, city council allocated $500,000 for the new skate park at Owens Field. It would not have been possible without your continued involvement every step of the way.

You are a wonderful group of people and I appreciate the opportunity to serve you all these years. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do for you in the future.

Closure of the 2900 block of Kenndey Street between Maple Street and Superior Street on Saturday, June 7, 2008 beginning at 4:00pm until 8:00pm.

The Traffic Safety Unit will focus on all traffic violators, including those who drive without a license, under suspension, uninsured, under the influence, speeding and/or seatbelt violations.
